Kaleidoscope Families:
Parents of children participating in an extra-curricular school activity during their scheduled Discovery Link programming will need to complete the Discovery Link Corner Enrichment Provider Form. These forms are available at Edison from Discovery Link and need to be completed for each class or club and for each individual child for each semester or session. On days your child is registered for extra-curricular activities your 1st through 5th grade child will be released by their teacher and should meet their EXTRA provider near the library steps. Your ECE & Kindergarten students will be signed out by their provider and escorted to their class/club. The enrichment provider is responsible for ensuring your child gets to Kaleidoscope at the end of the enrichment program.
Policies and Procedures:
All EXTRA Classes for Fall Semester will begin on or after August 26th.
EXTRA Enrichment classes are not intended to serve as child care, please note that there are many gaps in the class schedules when no EXTRA classes are offered but school is in session.
You no longer need an account or a user name/password. After each class, there is a link to the sign-up genius registration for each class.
On any given school day, Edison Elementary students are mastering yoga poses, learning a new language or creating artistic masterpieces. All of this happens outside normal school hours. From guitar lessons to science, to tutoring, to cheerleading – there is a program that fits every child’s interest.
We are thankful to our parent volunteers, teachers and community partners who help redefine our building as a place not only for academics, but for fun, enriching opportunities for learning, social development and recreation.
At Edison, we believe enrichment activities are an essential part of a well-rounded academic education. We strive to ensure that all students have equal opportunities and access to engage in positive youth development through quality activities that foster the growth of the whole child.
